The Toledo Botanical Garden (TBG), a non-profit organization, seeks an Executive Director for a 60-acre center for horticulture and the arts in Toledo, Ohio. TBG is operated through a joint partnership with the Metroparks of the Toledo Area, the City of Toledo and the TBG Board, Inc. and with a $1 million + budget supported by public and private funds. It features mature display gardens, an annual arts festival, a diverse education program, associate arts and horticulture organizations, conference center, , gift shop, community outreach through urban gardening and 3,000+ members. The Executive Director is responsible to, and works closely with, the Board of Directors, its President and Executive Committee. The Director must possess proven skills in: leadership and organization, administrative and financial management, fund development, and personal and public communication. A qualified candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and will have at least three years management experience as a director of a non-profit organization at least comparable in size and budget to TBG, or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include volunteer or other experience with organizations that promote gardens, arts, horticulture or nature. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience and education. Toledo GROWs Job-Trainer (Horticulture/Landscaping)

General Description:
We are seeking dynamic/experienced individuals to work with at-risk youth, students and the general public. Salary/benefits commensurate with experience and position.

This individual will provide job training to adjudicated youth in the areas of horticulture, urban agriculture and landscaping. Experience with both at-risk youth and horticulture is essential.

Toledo GROWs Green Corps Coordinator/Field Manager

General Description: We are seeking dynamic/experienced individuals to work with at-risk youth, students and the general public. Salary/benefits commensurate with experience and position.

This individual will coordinate a pilot “green corps” that provides job training with at-risk youth (ages 16-20) while working in community gardens, planting trees and rain gardens and constructing/installing rain barrels. Additionally, this individual will help to coordinate over 100 community gardens (as well as organizing more gardens in targeted neighborhoods).

Toledo GROWs Youth Services Coordinator

General Description: We are seeking dynamic/experienced individuals to work with at-risk youth, students and the general public. Salary/benefits commensurate with experience and position.
 
This individual will coordinate two pilot programs to create outdoor classrooms/school gardens that will serve public school students. Additionally, this individual will help to coordinate programs and services (including gardening, nutrition and arts/crafts) for youth between the ages of 4-18.
