The Gardens
Hosta Collection

Our Hosta Collection has been accredited by the North American Plant Collection Consortium (NAPCC), a program of the American Public Gardens Association (APGA).

To receive this honor, Toledo Botanical Garden developed policies and implemented museum-level care for the collections, including quarantine and duplicate plant requirements.

This area of the Garden is tended by our  professional horticulturists and garden volunteers, in conjunction with members of the Black Swamp Hosta and Daylily Society.

The Hosta Garden also offers wonderful ferns, Astilbe, Ligularia, and Hydrangea. With its towering trees, this garden offers a cool and peaceful retreat on a hot summer day.

Enriching your life through gardens, the arts and nature.
