Our Discover the Garden program is a family activity series, brought to you by the Children’s Education Department of Toledo Botanical Garden and generously sponsored by BP of Ohio. The series offers an interactive and educational opportunity for children and parents alike, using the Garden as their outdoor lab. Each season a new activity can be found in the Visitor's Center or at the Discovery Board located on the porch of the Children’s Education building. For more information, contact the Children’s Education Department at 419-536-5589.
Summer Activity:
Veggie Venture
Right next door to our Education building you will find the Fruit and Vegetable garden. In this activity you will explore the plants in the garden and try to identify the things that are growing there and what part of the plant we eat (root, stem, flower, leaf or fruit). When you have completed the challenge return your sheet to the Visitor Center (Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm) and receive a prize.
